Course Overview

This five-day training course is designed for those wishing to develop their environmental auditing skills to a professional level either to improve company auditing processes or to audit systems in a third party capacity. This course is registered with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI/IRCA) International Register of Certificated Auditors. The course will provide delegates with an extensive insight into the important world of environmental standards, their development and the certification process.

Course Objectives

The course will help delegates to understand the principles of good Environmental Management and to develop their knowledge of the environmental management standards. It will also develop delegates’ knowledge & understanding of different audit types, and the practical skills required to plan, execute and report environmental management audits. On completion of the course we expect delegates to be able to:

➢Understand Principles, processes and techniques used for the assessment and management of environmental aspects and impacts.

➢Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 14001, the ISO 14000 series guidance standards and the legislative framework relevant to an EMS.

➢Plan, conduct, report and follow-up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and through analysis of ISO 14001.

➢Undertake role of Auditor to Plan, perform, conduct and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and through analysis of ISO 14001

Tutored Audits: Following the course, participants have an opportunity for further development for their subsequent in-company audits to be observed and tutored to provide practical on-site training

Assessment: This course satisfies the training requirements for those who wish to register as Auditor/Lead Auditor to IRCA. Course attendees are assessed on their knowledge and understanding throughout the course and will also be required to sit a 2-hour closed book examination to assess their level of understanding.

Certification: Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded a CQI/IRCA certified certificate.

Booking Terms:

1. All contracts formed pursuant to a request for a place on a MacBens Multi Resources Ltd. course made using this Booking Form shall be subject to our standard Terms and Conditions and the terms set out herein.

2. Where these terms conflict with our standard Terms and Conditions, these terms shall prevail.

3. A Written Acknowledgement of order and an invoice will be issued following receipt of a Booking Form and full payment must be made prior to the commencement or upon registration for the course, and in any case within 14 days of the date of the invoice, in order to secure your place.

4. Joining instructions will be forwarded prior to the commencement of the course.

5 . Once a Booking Form has been received we regret that the transfer of a booking to another event cannot be made but a subs titute delegate will be accepted before registration with accredited body.

6. Cancellations for classroom course must be in writing and are subject to the following charges: 20% of total course fee fo r administration charge up to 4weeks prior to the course. 50% of the fees between 4 and 1 week prior to the course. 100% of total course fees must be paid within 1 week of the course start date.
